Exercise, organized sports, and physical activity are important for brain function and stress management. This also contributes positively to a good study environment, as well as students' productivity and overall well-being. Increased physical activity among the population yields a high welfare benefit. All students should have easy access to regular physical activity alongside their studies.
The organized sports in student sports clubs create a sense of social belonging to physical activity and are an important offering for students. Student sports facilitate a voluntary culture and counteract loneliness and mental health issues among the student population. The Welfare Assembly believes that Sit should collaborate with student sports clubs in efforts to improve sports facilities and provide more space for students who wish to engage in physical activities. This applies both in relation to the municipality and the educational institution.

All students should have access to fitness facilities in the immediate vicinity of the campus.
We work towards
The Student Welfare Organization (Sit) is to construct fitness facilities in conjunction with the construction of student housing
that there should be a low threshold for joining student sports through a common membership fee
that educational institutions should create and develop learning spaces that can be used for activities by student sports clubs and personal training when not in use for teaching.
