Politics

Velferdstinget arbeider politisk opp mot samskipnaden (Sit), kommune og stat for å sikre at din hverdag som student blir best mulig.

Campus

A campus is not just a place for studying; it is also a place for spending time and engaging in activities beyond one's academic subjects. Therefore, there should be a multifunctional campus design, where spaces can be shared for academic activities and support student volunteerism.

The design of the campus should emphasize psychosocial aspects both outdoors and indoors. It should provide good social meeting places and encourage social interaction. The campus should feel open and inclusive, creating a pleasant environment. In addition to academic activities, there should also be room for relaxation and enjoyable breaks. Green spaces play a crucial role in all of this, fostering well-being and creating pleasant surroundings.

Velferdstinget believes

A good campus is a place where students want to spend their time. It facilitates human connections and provides space for the whole person – not just the part that studies.

We work towards

  • that student services are placed in central hubs on campus

  • that student volunteerism has well-suited and dedicated spaces, located near where students spend their time and their academic clusters

  • that student housing is located on or in immediate proximity to the campus

  • that there is facilitated social innovation, co-creation, and creativity on campus

  • that the campus should be easily accessible, both on foot, by bicycle, and via public transportation
